Rhythm Academy of Dance (RAD) began over ten years ago in an industrial park in Lake County.  In December of 2009, RAD was presented with an opportunity to move into the historic YMCA building in Waukegan, Illinois.  Since that time, student enrollment has been on a steady climb, offering neighborhood and other students to express themselves through dance, theater and music.

Located a block from the amazing Genesee Theatre and across the street from the Waukegan Public Library, RAD is a key component of the local drive to grow Waukegan as an arts community.
